Hi, I’m Marcelina Jarnuszkiewicz and this is a shop stocked with my wearable illustrations.
I studied ethnology at the University of Warsaw and sculpture and media art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.
I create new designs all the time, but show them only twice a year - in spring and in autumn.
I hope that their diversity, at least to a small extent, will one day reflect the complex beauty of nature.
I order pin forms and castings from a small Polish family workshop. The pins are produced in small series with attention to detail and quality workmanship.
The pins are gold plated with hard gold and hand painted with enamel. They do not contain nickel.
Their simple yet elegant design represents our unique relationship with the world of nature.
My jewelry - necklaces, earrings, bracelets and cufflinks are made entirely of gold-plated silver.
When creating my pins, sculptures and illustrations I’m looking for the synthesis of the theme.
I draw a lot, but I spend even more time looking at nature - during walks and working in the garden.
I don't want to know "what does a perfect hare look like?" or "what does this particular hare look like?" - I am looking for the essence of what's leporine.
Pins and illustrations are records of the joy I derive from nature.
I design them as much for myself as for others.
